Epilepsy 'Freedom Hero' Program

Rules & Guidelines
~ A 'Freedom Hero' is the Captain of a Freedom Team or an Individual Freedom Walker (not associated with a team), that meets or exceeds the $5,000 'Freedom Hero' goal.

~ The team or individual walker must be participating onsite at the event and not registered as a 'virtual' team or 'virtual' individual walker.
~ Received pledges and registration fees count towards the $5,000 'Freedom Hero' goal.

~ In order to be recognized on the day of the event, the $5,000 'Freedom Hero' goal must be reached and all monies received at the office of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles or posted to the event website by 2 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2009.

 

Awards Package
A 'Freedom Hero' that meets the Rules & Guidelines stated above will:

~ Be recognized onsite at the Epilepsy Freedom Walk if the $5,000 'Freedom Hero' goal is met or exceeded by 2 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2009.

~ Receive a 'Freedom Hero' medal.
~ Be recognized on the Epilepsy Freedom Walk website and in an online issue of "News & Views".

~ Win a gift card (more details to follow - stay tuned!).

~ One reserved parking spot near the Walk on the day of the event.

~ Enter the 'Freedom Hero' drawing to win a 32" flatscreen television. The drawing will take place onsite, so please plan accordingly to transport the item to home if you are the lucky 'Freedom Hero' that wins the drawing. The 'Freedom Hero' must be present onsite on Sunday, October 18, 2009, at the time of the drawing to be considered in the drawing.

Be a 'Freedom Hero' After the Walk

We urge team captains and individuals (not associated with a team) to continue their efforts to reach the $5,000 'Freedom Hero' goal after the day of the event. All benefits mentioned above (excluding recognition onsite, one reserved parking spot onsite, and entering the 'Freedom Hero' drawing) will be awarded if the $5,000 ' Freedom Hero' goal is met or exceeded by Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 5 pm.
